Why does Billie Eilish not like Eminem?

Billie Eilish dislike Eminem lg

Billie Eilish is one of the top pop stars of the moment. But Eminem has ruled the hip-hop world for decades now. Surprisingly, there are rumors of a feud. So why does Billie Eilish not like Eminem?

Billie Eilish is afraid of Eminem, but the two do not dislike one another. In fact, the two have supposedly never even met. Eilish’s fear of Eminem comes from the anger and hatred in his lyrics.

Of course, many people don’t like the rap legend for various reasons, but it is a bit odd that someone not in the same genre or generation would have beef with him.

Music fans often forget that the industry is technically work for their favorite artists. Sure, they’re not reporting to a traditional office for a 9-5, but this is still a profession.

What this also means is that it’s not uncommon for artists to not particularly like each other, just like in the office.

I wanted to know more about why Billie is afraid of Eminem, so I did some digging. Is it because of some of his past lyrics, or is there something else to this story?

Here’s why Billie Eilish does not like Eminem.

Why is Billie Eilish scared of Eminem?

Billie Eilish is scared of Eminem due to his lyrics, specifically the themes of violence, hatred, and frequent criticism of his parents.

Eminem has received backlash for his entire career over his lyrics.

There are themes of violence and overall hatred found in his songs. He also called his dad the “F-slur” back before it was totally politically incorrect.

Eminem also has a bit of an aggressive sound when it comes to his flow.

Billie Eilish is one person who has been affected by this. His music has scared her to the point where it seems that she still has negative feelings about the rapper. She stated this in an interview.

Eminem has a long history of making people uncomfortable with his lyrical choices.

The Detroit rapper is considered to be one of the most controversial figures in Hip Hop History. He has been banned from various TV stations at specific periods of his career.

Is Eminem just shock value?

It should be noted that Billie is the complete opposite of Eminem as an artist. Sure, she pushes the boundaries, but her version of this is much different than his. In the past, it sometimes seemed like Eminem was being shocking just for the sake of shock value.

But let’s be honest.

Billie’s childhood seems idyllic compared to what we know of Eminem’s. And Billie grew up in the California middle-class suburbs compared to Eminem in Detroit.

And Billie still sometimes stays at her parents’ house in her old bedroom.

Eminem, on the other hand, has no relationship with his Dad who took off when he was a newborn, and the 2 have supposedly never met to this day.

And for his mom, Eminem claims she drugged him as a child and that she suffers from Münchausen syndrome by proxy. That basically means you make your child think they are sick all the time so they are more dependent and reliant on you.

It’s a form of mental illness tied to horribly low self-esteem and a need to feel loved.

But much of Eminem’s early music was about his childhood and his rage against both his parents. But he also has strong feelings about his ex-wife Kim who he actually married twice.

But to say the 2 had different types of childhoods would be a vast understatement.

What does Eminem say about Billie Eilish?

In 2020, Eminem referenced Billie Eilish being afraid of him in a song called “Alfred’s Theme”. In the song, he says, “But really I’m just fulfilling my wish of killing rhymes / Which is really childish and silly, but I’m really like this / I’m giving nightmares to Billie Eilish.”

Eminem has been known to respond to criticism of his music.

He has often made diss records or addressed issues directly in interviews. However, what Billie Eilish said about the rapper was not necessarily criticism.

Eminem has changed.

The old Eminem would have made some extreme metaphors about his critics. It would typically involve violence or would even be sexual. However, Eminem didn’t actually address what Billie said.

On one hand, Eminem knows that publicly attacking a young pop star would not end well for him in the age of social media. Also, it does seem that the rapper has evolved as a person.

Also, Billie Eilish didn’t say anything all that bad about Eminem. She was asked a question in an interview and simply answered it. Perhaps Eminem can now also separate the two.

Does Eminem sing, “dye my hair green like Billie Eilish?”

Eminem does not sing this song. The song “dye my hair green like Billie Eilish” is an updated version of his classic single, ‘My Name Is”, with artificial intelligence used to alter the vocals. Eminem did not create the altered version.

Technology is a wild thing.

The track references Billie Eilish as well as other important figures in 2021. The song was released from a YouTube channel called 30 Hertz. It has become quite popular online.

Many people believed the song was Eminem because the AI bot sounded just like him. This shows how far technology has gone over the years.

Billie Eilish has not responded to being referenced in the AI-created track, nor has she said anything about Eminem’s lines about her in “Alfred’s Theme”.

Did Eminem collab with Billie Eilish?

Eminem and Billie Eilish have not collaborated. In fact, it is even unclear if the two have ever met. And due to Billie’s fear of Eminem, a collaboration is not likely in the near future.

It should also be noted that Billie’s music doesn’t seem that it would fit adding a rapper to it.

Many pop stars work with rappers, but it would seem out of place for Billie’s music. This is especially true for Eminem’s style of music, although he has worked with pop stars before.

Billie’s music so far has mostly lacked collaborations. She works with her brother as a producer, but the singer mostly keeps to herself.

Much like Eminem, Billie Eilish challenges culture and societal norms.

The two just happen to do it in different ways. I wrote about how Billie does this in a recent article. After all, she does sing about seducing your dad. Granted, Eminem is more likely to beat up your dad. But is Eilish really that way, or is that a persona?

Who is Billie Eilish’s favorite rapper?

Childish Gambino, aka Donald Glover, is Billie Eilish’s favorite rapper. In fact, Childish Gambino is who introduced Eilish to hip hop.

But really, it is difficult to say who Billie’s favorite rapper is.

Billie speaking of Childish Gambino is what led to her discussing Eminem. She was asked in an interview to pick between Eminem and Childish Gambino. From here, the rest is history.

This makes sense, and if there was one rapper that would sound good on a Billie Eilish song, it would be Childish Gambino.

He has a great deal of the same vibe as Billie in his music.

Conclusion

Hopefully, the day will come where Billie and Eminem can talk.

The two don’t have beef, but no one wants a fellow artist to fear them. I’m sure the veteran rapper would want the young pop star to know he is not the man he once was.

I don’t think we’ll be seeing a collaboration between the two anytime soon, but he has been in the business a long time and could be a great resource to her.

Billie is one of the brightest young stars today, and I have no double Eminem would respect her.

She has a great deal to offer, and hopefully, one day, she won’t fear Eminem.

But is that her real voice or are her recordings laden with a lot of studio trickery?

In a recent article, I spoke at length about her approach to music. She is well-known for recording at home with her brother Finneas. But how much autotune does she use?
