Billie Eilish is one of the most popular pop stars to emerge in recent years. But with lyrics about “seducing your dad” and “making your girlfriend mad”, is Billie Eilish naughty?
Here’s what I’ve learned:
Put simply, Billie Eilish is not naughty, and her lyrics are pretty harmless. She tours with her brother who also produces her music and often sleeps over at her parent’s house. Eilish is just talking about real-life experiences. But as is with many fiction writers, they may not be her experiences.
Her lyrics are also a topic of conversation for many fans and general music lovers alike.
They point to the songs “Bad Guy” and “Oxytocin” the most as they both contain lyrics that make people wonder if the young singer has a dark side.
She’s a talented singer who sings about life using music that is often seen as different. However, she has some lyrics and some songs that cause people to scratch their heads a little.
I did some digging into Billie Eilish to determine a little more about her as a person, and here is what I found.
Why does Billie Eilish sing “might seduce your dad type”?
Billie Eilish sings about “seducing your dad” to be ironic. She is not singing about herself, but rather, it’s an intended criticism of people who brag about exploits for attention.
Billie Eilish has stated in an interview that “Bad Guy” is about people who feel the need to express how bad they are. Essentially, these people brag about the naughty things they do for attention. This is why the lyrics are so extreme.
Billie is not seducing your dad.
In fact, you’ll often find her at home with her parents, and her brother Finneas is with her almost 24/7, both on the road and in the studio.
She’s really pretty wholesome.
That line from Bad Guy paints the picture of a person who is trying too hard. They think their identity comes from these acts. This is why they discuss them at length.
Billie is using the song to poke fun at them and perhaps make a statement.
She has also stated that the song comes from a personal place. There was a time where she bragged about all the bad things she wasn’t actually doing.
This line also brings up the Lolita motif that has been paramount in art for quite some time now. It’s important that a singer as young as she is makes music like this. People her age are influenced by a great deal.
Hopefully, this ironic song will remind people that they should simply be who they are.

What is the Billie Eilish song Oxytocin about?
Oxytocin is a song about the hormone released when you’re in love. The song, while vague, is about a secret love affair that Billie wants to keep to herself. But the song was also written and recorded after her 2nd album was done as Eilish wanted something fans would “go crazy” for in live concerts.
Oxytocin is a hormone the human body releases.
This occurs when people are in love, have physical contact, or give birth to a child. Of course, with this being a Billie Eilish song, there has to be a twist.
Is this a healthy love?
It also seems that the love she’s singing about may not be healthy. This is shown when the lyrics encourage the listener to run away to avoid being hurt. Of course, this could also simply be fear of falling in love.
Good art oftentimes makes it a challenge to figure out what it means.
This song is an example of that. As the listener, we don’t fully know the nature of the relationship she’s singing about. But she’s certainly getting older and more experienced in relationships, and yes, likely exploring her sexuality.
So all of that comes into play in that song.

Who is Billie Eilish’s boyfriend?
Billie Eilish’s current boyfriend is aspiring actor Matthew Tyler Vorce, ten years her senior. They have been dating since early 2021, following her breakup with rapper Brandon Adams (aka 7:AMP) in 2020.
Billie and Matthew have been dating for a little while now.
They are now a public couple. Matthew is an actor, and he lives in LA. While he is not an A-lister, he does have a movie in the works.
Not everyone loves her boyfriend.
When it comes to being a public couple, it’s important what the fans think. After Billie and Matt went public, her fans soon learned of his online history. Apparently, the actor had made several homophobic, racist, and generally hateful comments on Twitter.
Things got so bad that he had to issue an apology.
The apology came in the form of a post on Instagram Stories. He stated that he was ashamed of his words and that he was not raised that way. Billie Eilish has yet to respond to his statements.
The pair seem to be very happy together. It helps that she’s a singer and he’s an actor. This means they don’t have to compete in their careers.
One of the other important relationships in her life is with her brother.
Finneas and Billie have a strong bond that extends into music. I wrote all about their relationship in a recent article.
I even cover why some fans think their relationship goes too far and why others say Finneas’ girlfriend looks just like his sister.

I’ve come to really appreciate the message of this song by Billie Eilish. Questioning the desire of intoxication from such masses of people. From cigarettes, alcohol, drugs and of course Xanax. People feeling they need some sort of stimulation to feel fulfilled terrifies me. pic.twitter.com/Wid9u9u5ow

Does Billie Eilish do drugs or drink alcohol?
Billie Eilish does not drink or do drugs and is very much against both.
Due to some of the themes in Billie’s music, many would assume she may be a big partier. However, Billie has stated on multiple occasions that she does not drink or do drugs.
She is extremely proud of this.
Billie has spoken about the issues surrounding young people and substance abuse. She takes this topic very seriously. In an interview with The Guardian, she said, “I don’t want my friends to die anymore.”
In the same interview, she discussed the song “Xanny”.
Apparently, the song isn’t so much telling people not to do drugs but rather to be safe. The track is also about avoiding peer pressure.
She has also stated that a big reason why she has never gotten intoxicated is that it’s not interesting to her. Instead, she has goals to work towards in her life.
But can she really sing?
Speaking of her sound, check out this recent article where I wrote about her music. I went into detail about how her music is constructed and if she uses autotune. Spoiler alert, she truly is a great artist.

Does Billie Eilish have a secret tattoo?
Billie Eilish does have a rarely seen hip tattoo that she does not often show. She gets a new tattoo for each album, so expect more of both in the future.
Billie Eilish is an artist who likes to push boundaries. She does this with her music as well as with her appearance. It makes sense she would have at least one tattoo.
However, it seems she has two. One, which she kept hidden, is a hip tattoo. It was recently seen in pictures from her Vogue cover shoot.
Tattoos are a great way to express oneself, and Billie is not the only pop star with them. Lady Gaga, as an example, has many tattoos.
She even gets a new one for every album she releases.
So, is Billie Elish naughty?
The answer is no. Billie is a young artist who makes music that provokes thought. It may seem like she’s a bad influence in some cases, but really, she’s shining a light on real issues.
Her lyrics have been dissected on several occasions, and Billie has never shied away from being upfront about them.
This is one of the things that makes her music unique. Her music is not surface-level. There are some important themes there.
Now, Billie’s second album, Happier than Ever, is out.
The singer and her brother Finneas may not be getting as much praise for this album as she did with the first, but she is still immensely popular.
